The business was first established in 2015 when Ben, the founder, cultivated the first Hawaiian-grown mushrooms on a small farm in Kona while living in a mango-tree house. He started using an underground lava-formed cave to cultivate the first mushrooms and quickly became passionate about the benefits of these superfoods.
